[Bug]: Mismatched icon + model on model select

Steps to reproduce

1. Start the app
2. Disable codex on the settings
3. Start a new thread

Expected behavior

It should show the icon matching the text + not show gpt/codex at all

Actual behavior

I shows the Claude icon with the "GPT 5.4" text

Impact

Cosmetic issue, Very low, I'd pick this up myself but I'll probably end up creating more busy work than helping

Same for me. It appeared after I updated the app. Codex was turned off during the update

Submitted a small guard in #2203. When the active provider's option list doesn't include props.model (the codex-disabled-then-new-thread case), the picker now falls back to the active provider's first model before the raw slug so icon and label agree. Narrow fix on the current implementation; happy to fold into #2153 if @Chrono-byte's redesign is the preferred path.
