[Bug]: Checkpoint fail in git repos

Steps to reproduce

This is the closest issue that I could find (#236) but my use case is for git repos that are git initialized; still the check point seems to fail at every turn of the conversation. And I'm not able to see the full work log in order to copy and paste it here. I can only see the cutoff.

Expected behavior

The checkpoint mechanism should work

Failing at every back and forth

Observed same on T3 Code with 0.0.20 (b2cca67), git version 2.42.0, macOS Sequoia 15.6.1.

My case is that our monorepo is likely too large for git checkpoints
