[Bug]: Updating & restarting the app does not work

Steps to reproduce

1. I get the blue update button in the bottom of the sidebar, click it
2. The update seems to download
3. Prompted to restart the app, accept
4. The window closes but the app stays active
5. I manually quit and restart the app
6. I am still on the same app version & the blue update button is still there

Expected behavior

The app should correctly shutdown and re-launch on its own and launch with the update installed.

Actual behavior

The app does not re-open on its own & the version # stays the same
