Action fails on git command error

Appreciate that this is still getting updates! FYI, one of today's changes introduced an issue in our CI. I can't share the full output for confidentiality reasons, but here are the last couple lines of the action log:

Upgraded pjstadig/humane-test-output '0.8.3' to '0.11.0' in /github/workspace/projectclj/pom.xml.
error: pathspec 'develop' did not match any file(s) known to git

develop is the name of our main branch, and the merge target for the PR on which the action ran.

This line could be the root reason. Probably something like this can fix the issue:

git fetch origin
git switch --track -C "$INPUT_MAIN_BRANCH" "origin/$INPUT_MAIN_BRANCH"
