Compact Job View in Workflow Editor

When you look at the Image of the Workflow on your main github page. you ca see that some Jobs ("Bluesyk Test" have a more compact view than others ("Shell Script").

How do i achieve this. I cannot find a setting that a Job is displayed more compact

Hi there! So sorry, that screenshot is from an old pre-beta version, where the workflow system "auto-sized" the height of the node units to fit their content.

I know it sounds like a cool feature, but hear me out: back then, workflow node units didn't really display much information:

Nowadays, workflows have since been largely redesigned so that the node units display MUCH more information, so the auto-sizing doesn't really make sense anymore (as they'd all be extremely tall).

So, I guess my point is, the old "auto-size" feature just doesn't make sense anymore, because the nodes always have tons of information trying to be displayed.

Perhaps I can introduce an optional setting that suppresses all the extra information?

Would be cool if we could just resize the box so reduce the height or to have a compact mode. I always try to give the jobs a speaking name so the real relevant infos are type and target which i would like to have in a compact variant. having a scrollable pane like currently is also a very good solution.

bit to summerize, the current solution is also way better than other solutions like n8n, nodered or kestra

Great idea! I implemented this in xyOps v1.0.86 which was just released. You can now click this little icon widget in the top-right corner of all workflow event / job nodes:

And it will toggle between compact and expanded view. The changes are saved and persist with the workflow.
