Option to remap Meta key when running as a window

Playbit has keybinding for window management that are designed for it to work as a full OS. But most people trying it today would be running it as a window inside another window manager.
Having an option, or even automatically, rebinding Meta (CMD/Windows Key) to a different modifier when it is running as a window would let keybindings be useful in both the host OS and in Playbit. I think an ALT key is most commonly used for this but it can (mostly) be anything.

Hi @sameoldlab, thanks for your feedback. Could you describe what you're literally experiencing, vs what you expect to happen? We'd love to help improve this, but we want to make sure we're solving the problem at the right level.

Yeah. I use a wayland compositor with keybinds to move around. Some of them overlap with the ones inside Playbit. For example, ⌘F opens search in playbit, but I have that set to fullscreen in my compositor.

The compositor will intercept any binding it has a setting for, though I asked about ⌘ because that's what most global keybinds tend to use.

@sameoldlab You may already know of this but there's an option in the settings to switch the Command and Control keys. Maybe that's a temporary fix for you for now?

@nickav I did not know about this, thanks. It seems to have been enabled by default(?). Leaving it that way has less conflicts for me.

Some of this might also be different expected defaults on a Mac vs Windows/Linux keyboard.

Ah, OK! At some point we want to overhaul how keyboard shortcuts/bindings work and this thread sparked a chat about it last week.

It sounds like one possible feature could be to provide a more generic key-remapping system.
