## Open an interactive debugging shell with Docker Compose

You can open an interactive Plone debugging shell without stopping a running site.
This is useful for inspecting content, running scripts, or debugging issues in a live environment.

Run the following command from a directory that already contains a Plone Docker Compose setup.
Replace `backend` with the name of your Plone service if needed.

```shell
docker compose run --rm backend console
```

This command starts a separate Zope instance connected to the same database.

You cannot debug a running FileStorage-based setup because the database file is locked.
Instead, use ZEO or RelStorage to open an interactive shell while the site is running.
