Environment
- plugdata 0.9.3
- Standalone app
- iPadOS 26.5
Description
I'm trying to create an abstraction with Graph-on-Parent entirely on the iPad.
On desktop, this is done by enabling Graph-on-Parent in the canvas properties.
On iPad, I can't find any way to access the main canvas properties:
- Tapping the patch background and opening the Inspector shows "Inspector: empty".
- I don't see the usual desktop option to enable Graph-on-Parent for the abstraction canvas.
What works
-
Creating abstractions
-
Editing abstractions
-
Using existing Graph-on-Parent abstractions
-
Manually adding a line like
#X coords 0 0 150 30 150 30 1 0 0;
to the .pd file enables Graph-on-Parent correctly.
Expected behavior
There should be a way to enable/configure Graph-on-Parent for an abstraction from the iPad UI, or documentation describing the intended workflow if it already exists.
Question
Is this functionality currently unavailable on iPad, or am I missing where these canvas properties are located?
Testing Notes
I verified that Graph-on-Parent itself works on iPad once the #X coords line is present, so the issue appears to be exposing the canvas settings rather than rendering GOP.
