[BUG]: Connect/disconnect circle > v55.1

Describe the bug.

Somewhere after v55.1 something has changed. First thing i noticed was that it took longer to find all circles (37) if all circles where found. A few reloads fixed that. I think is was at 55.4.
Then 55.6 came and i thought let's try this. Big oeps. At first scan looked good and circles where found. Then suddenly the circles disconnected. So at 55.1 it is rock-solid and then somewhere came something strang.
Tried to downgrade but still unstable.
Now back to backup from a few days ago with 55.1. Lost e few days historie and tinkering in automations (not funny) but now it runs like it should.

Might be caused by a non-consecutive C+ registery. Would you mind to provide a debug log as follows, you don't need to upgrade first:
(1) Go to integrations=> plugwise
(2) Enable debugging
(3) Restart HAS
(4) Wait some 10 minutes after restart
(5) Go to integratien => plugwise
(6) Disable debug
(7) upload here the debug log.

Hi @edwin-2023 ok it is not a problem of non-consecutive registry in the C+. 36 nodes are found in the quick scan.

I can understand after upgrading to 0.55.2 and up it takes longer the first run for the circles to come online because a new cache is generated, but the second time it should be much faster. This can, however, be slowed down by the caching issues in the energy logs.
If you feel up to it, I'd like to see a debug log after an upgrade to 0.55.6.

i will do again the update to 0.55.6 but have to plan, give some time for that.
My main concern with 0.55.6 is the unreliability, initially the integration sees the circle's and then suddenly they dissapear.

Yes, that is rather strange behavior. My system is running stable, so difficult to say anything right now.

Those disappearing circles are they displayed as "None" in the list?

no, just not available and greyed out.
Just like a few that are in a drawer waiting to be deployed.

Ok. If you have time a start-up log with 0.55.6 of some 15-30 minutes would be great.
If possible give some hint which node-mac are offline but should be online at different points in time.

Same issue here. @dirixmjm asked me for a restart log, but after 35 mins still only 4 circles (of the 16 or so) came online and no energy logs (usage and switch of those 4 which are online works).

Log is attached. No more time to debug now, but likely removing the cache folder and restarting will fix it again.

Hope the logs helps to debug the issue.

Edit: confirmed, deleting the cache folder en restarting the plug-in fixed it. All usage and cirles are back online again. Maybe the dead circle or the Switch devices in my setup are causing the issue? The circle is removed in source but stil viseable in HA (cant be removed, unknow error notification when trying).

@Tigerstrength ok, this is clearly caused by the recent updates together with a non contiguous C+ registry, together with the updates I did in 0.55.2. I'll have to work on this some more.
Deleting cache does not really help.

For a quick fix there is a sleep(10) on line 190 inside registry.py inside the following folder, inside the home assistant installation
python3.13/site-packages/plugwise_usb/network
Change it to sleep(0.1). That should make the discovery fast.

I'll consider re-adding a form of address-mac cache.

I did the search for the file, but I am not able to locate it. Where can I find the Python3.13 folder? It is not in the specified location in my HAOS version.

Difficult to say, for my supervisor installation the full path is: /usr/local/lib/python3.13/site-packages/plugwise_usb
However it might be different for other installation types.

I have some ideas on a permanent fix, it'll take a week or so to complete.
