Mapping cooling structures to NYC streets

Purpose

• A GIS web-application that shows the resources NYC has for its streets to combat against overexposure to the sun & what areas in the city require more resources to cool down their roads/sidewalks.

Roadmap

• ETL pipeline for fountains
• ETL pipeline for trees (sample)
• Interactive map with layer toggle
• Heat map layer (surface temperature)
• Deploy to GitHub Pages
• CI/CD integration
