Touch Weather Station — MAKHEX build log

Current status: Blueprint, not an electrically or mechanically qualified kit.

Purpose: Turn environmental readings into a touch-friendly desk dashboard.

Candidate bill of materials

• 1x /esp32-s3-touch-35 — Touch interface
• 1x /bme280-sensor — Environment readings
• 1x /usb-c-power-kit — Bench power

Proposed build milestones

1. Identify the exact display and touch controller SKU.
2. Verify display firmware alone before adding peripherals.
3. Read BME280 sensor values over verified I²C pins.
4. Build LVGL screen states and stale-data warnings.
5. Stress-test touch, power and thermal behavior.

Improve this guide

• Suggest validated supplier or component substitutions
• Share board revision and software environment
• Post reproducible firmware builds, wiring diagrams and measurements
• Document errors, successful tests and unresolved risks

Engineering caution: Controller, I²C bus and GPIO maps are board-dependent; never rely on generic wiring.
