Tiny BLE Beacon — MAKHEX build log

Current status: Blueprint, not an electrically or mechanically qualified kit.

Purpose: Broadcast a privacy-respecting BLE test payload.

Candidate bill of materials

• 1x /esp32-c3-supermini — BLE transmitter
• 1x /usb-c-power-kit — Development supply

Proposed build milestones

1. Flash a supported BLE advertising example.
2. Set a non-identifying payload.
3. Verify visibility from a BLE scanner.
4. Measure active and sleep currents.
5. Document range and privacy tradeoffs.

Improve this guide

• Suggest validated supplier or component substitutions
• Share board revision and software environment
• Post reproducible firmware builds, wiring diagrams and measurements
• Document errors, successful tests and unresolved risks

Engineering caution: Never use a BLE beacon to secretly identify or track individuals.
