Indoor VOC Explorer — MAKHEX build log

Current status: Blueprint, not an electrically or mechanically qualified kit.

Purpose: Chart relative VOC sensor trends with ambient context.

Candidate bill of materials

• 1x /esp32-s3-devkit — Controller
• 1x /sgp40-voc — VOC sensor
• 1x /bme280-sensor — Compensation
• 1x /usb-c-power-kit — Bench supply

Proposed build milestones

1. Verify each sensor on its own.
2. Supply humidity and temperature compensation.
3. Log timestamped data with warm-up status.
4. Render relative trend visualizations.
5. Explain error and sensor baseline behavior.

Improve this guide

• Suggest validated supplier or component substitutions
• Share board revision and software environment
• Post reproducible firmware builds, wiring diagrams and measurements
• Document errors, successful tests and unresolved risks
