Looks like PowerShell was adding "Microsoft.PowerShell.Core\FileSystem::" to the beginning of the path in SessionState.Path.CurrentFileSystemLocation.Path. I added a blanket stripping of anything in the supplied workingDirectory given to FileProcessor before a double-colon.
