This PR adds support for customizing sidebar section titles in documentation. It introduces a
dir_titlesmapping for sections, allowing users to override auto-generated sidebar titles for subdirectories and ensures that numeric prefixes are stripped from subdirectory names in sidebar headings. The changes are tested with new and updated test cases and synthetic test packages.
