Describe the issue:

When using Inline Chat in an editor with selected text, new text that spans multiple lines will interpose with existing text, leading to corrupted output.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

1. Open a file in an Editor
2. Select some text within the document
3. Invoke an inline chat (Cmd+I)
4. Instruct Assistant to edit, with some notion of outputting multiple lines (/doc seems reliable)

Expected or desired behavior:

Text after edits is legible, not bungled with existing text and new output from Assistant.

Were there any error messages in the UI, Output panel, or Developer Tools console?
