Disable/change kiai effect

I know this discussion has been brought up before, but it was never solved only bandaged, the effect was only reduced. It would be nice to completely turn off kiai flash effect, not just reduce. No matter how weak/strong the effect is, it will always be a pain to play with for me and i am sure for many others because it is distracting.

Another solution maybe, is to change how kiai effect works completely, if it was a static glow for every note instead of the flash effect, that would work as well im sure. That way it could even be a skinnable element to change the color of the glow

Please, dont just link me the change that the effect was reduced, thats not the point of my discussion.
