i'm got this after update which included fix for folder migration text readability

No. It "regressed" in 18747e1.

If you are unable to immediately determine that your proposition was blatantly wrong just from reading the linked commit as it was written, then please refrain from any speculation as to what any code may or may not be doing in the future.

@peppy not sure there's anything to fix here. the black looks visually fine, rolling back to previous behaviour is a subjective call. up to you as to whether we wanna rollback on this specific screen.

This was intentional, yes.

If we do decide we want something non-black, I think we'd use a different background here that isn't the storyboard/beatmap, as this screen already suffers from doing a lot (and running slow on lower end machines) so the last thing we'd want is to add more load on elements mostly hidden by things in front of the background.
