In standard when a slider is placed after a note with a different hitnormal, the slider uses the hitnormal from a previous note
In catch, however, when you select then deselect an object, auto hitnormal gets selected (if there are other ways to get auto to select i imagine they would also work). With auto hitnormals sliders always use normal hitnormal, disregarding previous notes. Notes themselves work fine though (which also results in all objects after the slider using normal hitnormals because sliders have auto hitnormals bugged and notes correctly use normal hitnormals of previous sliders)
You can get around it by not selecting then deselecting, or by choosing hitnormals before placing objects and then keep placing them, but then you can't edit objects because you can't deselect them without auto getting selected so yea
