Looks like we need to test on git 1.7.9 at least. Probably 1.5.0, as it's the minimum version we support.

Better: Make an authortest in xt/git that will have helper to build git for me.

To expand on that, it should be able to clone git from github, install the minimum supported git and any other git version I want into a directory it knows about, then run the t/deploy/git.t test for all the git versions available.

I just tried reproducing this on git 1.7.9.2 and it worked fine...

Can't repro on 1.5.4, the earliest 1.5 version I am capable of installing on OSX.

My tests were all wrong. This fails on 1.7.11 because of Git::Repository and submodule not playing well on that git version.
