Design Goals

Some of these design goals have changed from what we originally estimated or planned for, so the appropriate portions have been modified.

1. Frequency range
   • 10 – 16 MHz
2. Modulation types, e.g. (AM, FM, SSB, etc.)
   • We confirmed it works with USB selected on Quisk
3. Cost
   • Approximately 30 dollars or less
4. Minimum discernible signal.
   • We achieved a sensitivity of less than 0.1uV
5. Size
   • 74mm by 72mm
6. Power requirements
   • ~12V, < 1 A (less than 12 W).
7. Special software and computer requirements
   • Windows machine, existing software (Quisk).
   • Software allows for oscillator and RF filter control.
