Development Progress on this project

Hi,

I just wanted to ask what the future plans for this repository is? Is there an active development and is there a milestone of what is next? The reason I'm asking is that when initially found this project I got quite excited (and it is!) however I have the feeling that deviating from the original paper quickly makes it hard to adopt for own needs.

Also I'm not from research and that is probably the issue, as I was trying to create rich environments with a semantic rule based approach. The main issue is directability and also the long solving costs and lack of pre-occupying elements to improve the solve. Similarly I was hoping to accelerate the builds by creating non-overlapping areas, so placement of objects can't be "everywhere".

However I'm not seeing in the near future that any of that will be of interest for this repo?

I think it is pretty much dead, I raised multiple issues no one from the core team has answered any of those

We are actively developing this project. Our development is currently focused on a number of major additions / overhauls.

@araistrick I appreciate all the work done here and I know that it's not easy to provide support while also trying to go through the backlog. I think for external users, that want to expand the boundaries of this tool, it is hard to figure things out. I personally also have given up the project I had started with infinigen, as there were too many unknowns even though at first it looked very visionary and promising. However as someone who is working in 3D/Games/Movies the usability in production got quickly thin. There is the huge reliance on procedurally creating assets, which seems to be a big emphasis, however for a lot of projects this doesn't seem to be the priority. I personally was only interested in the semantic interior filling, which seemed very powerful with the annhealing method which is the most interesting part of this repo.

Anyhow, I wish all the best luck with this repo and am curios how you guys further progress :)
