학기가 이제 한달 남았네요. 다들 멋진 마무리 하시길 바랍니다. 5월 수업 계획입니다.

• 5/18: 정상수업
• 5/20: 휴강(대학원 입시 면접)
• 5/25: 휴일(부처님오신날)
• 5/27: 정상수업 + 학생 발표

5/27에는 지난 smallvm, thrillvm 분석기 성능 상위 3명을 초청하여 설계 전략을 듣겠습니다.

• 시간: 인당 10분 (두 숙제 모두 상위 3등안에 들었더라도 발표는 1회만)
• 내용: 본인만의 전략과 소감, 특히 아래 내용 중심으로
  • 자체제작 도메인 설계 내용
  • 구현 최적화
  • 예제 중심

많은 학생들이 제 생각보다 매우 우수한 성능을 보여 주었네요. 본인의 귀중한 경험을 다른 학생들에게도 공유하는 아량을 베풀어 주길 바랍니다. 명단은 아직 집계가 안되어서 오늘 중에 조교들이 개별연락을 할 예정입니다.

어떤 고민과 전략이 있었을지 기대가 됩니다.

Hello everyone,

There is only about a month left in the semester now. I hope you all have a great finish to the semester. Here is the course schedule for the remainder of May:

• 5/18: Regular class
• 5/20: No class (Graduate admissions interviews)
• 5/25: Holiday (Buddha’s Birthday)
• 5/27: Regular class + student presentations

On 5/27, we will invite the top three performers from the previous SmallVM and ThrillVM analyzer assignments to share their design strategies.

• Time: 10 minutes per person
  (Even if you ranked in the top 3 for both assignments, you will present only once.)
• Contents: Your own design strategies, In particular
  • Custom abstract domain design
  • Implementation optimizations
  • Example-driven explanations

Many students achieved performance results that far exceeded my expectations. I hope those selected will generously share their valuable experiences with the rest of the class.

The final rankings are still being compiled, so the TAs will contact the selected students individually later today.

I am very much looking forward to hearing about the ideas, and strategies behind your implementations.
