Section cut or section analysis of sliced model

With the addition of plugins and other tools and slicing settings becoming available, it would be useful to be able to cut the build plate or object at vertical angles in order to visualize how the perimeters, infill, or supports are filling the layer space instead of just being able to clip by layer at a specific height.

I would think that this would be easiest to do along a designated XZ or YZ plane (or offset of those planes), but long-term, I could see value to greater customization and selection or creation of a plane in any orientation.
