Prismatik plugins do not work

plugins feature does not seem to work in Prismatik. the tab shows only "Error (not running)" in the list for each installed plugin.

i'm unsure if these are even supposed to work based on the msg here about version compatibility: https://github.com/woodenshark/Prismatik-plugins

problem exists in latest version (5.11.2.13) and previous, but i'm a new users so it may have been an issue for a long time. i'm on macOS Sierra 10.12.5 with Python 2 & 3 installed via homebrew.

i just noticed there's an open issue in the original repo about plugins not loading in an older Windows build as well: Atarity/Prismatik-plugins#3

No, the old plugins don't work with this version.
You can create a small configuration file that contains a command to be run, it is expected that this command will then launch a program that connects to the Prismatik API. There are some plugins for the new setup out there, but not too many
