The objective of this project is to analyze historical view data of a YouTube channel and forecast the expected number of views for the upcoming week using Microsoft Excel. This project aims to demonstrate how basic forecasting techniques and Excel functions can be used to generate actionable insights without the need for programming.
1.Used FORECAST Function: Applied the FORECAST function in Excel to predict upcoming YouTube views based on historical data.
2.Created Graph with Trendline: Plotted a line chart and added a trendline to visualize the overall data trend and estimate future movement.
3.Used Forecast Sheet: Utilized Excel’s Forecast Sheet feature to automatically generate future view predictions with confidence intervals.
This project demonstrates how Microsoft Excel can be effectively used for time series forecasting without the need for complex tools or programming. By using the FORECAST function, trendline visualization, and the Forecast Sheet feature, I was able to predict the next week's YouTube views based on historical data. This approach is simple, practical, and ideal for quick forecasting tasks in real-world scenarios.
