This is breaking the gem provider for us, and this has been deprecated since 2007. --include-dependencies is the default behaviour so there should not be a problem.

Note that 2284e83 removed it in master.

@domcleal I see that looks way more thorough, I guess I don't understand how the versioning works, as I still see this when I checkout 50bd24a which is release 2.7.26. An explanation would be very enlightening!

Sure, it went into 3.2.0 and was never backported (until now) to 2.7.x. I'm sure Sam'll be along soon to tell you about the (short) future of the 2.7.x branch.
