[OT] Debug Ports on the Prime Spike (maybe)

This is somewhat off topic but maybe interesting to some here.

The board of the prime spike / inventor hub has a connector for the TC2030 https://www.tag-connect.com/product/tc2030-idc-nl in the top left corner:

Does anybody know what it connects too?

I use those "connectors" on my boards for SWDIO and SWCLCK and that would be a natural choice. If we are even more lucky there is also GND, 3V3, and maybe an UART for debugging.

As far as we have seen, LEGO always "locks" the chip after flashing at the factory. So even with the right hardware, it can't be used to do much. Likely, it is just there to flash the initial firmware at the factory.

It is a SWD debug port (not UART). You can use, e.g. an ST-LINK debugger to connect to it.

Ah, OK, thanks for the info. That is a pity. So I am closing this since it is most likely of no use.
