Is it possible to change the OCR language when using -layout?

I'm simply running:
pymupdf4llm.to_markdown(file, footer=False, header=False)
To read the text from a PDF. This employs an OCR-scanner that relies on Tesseract and OpenCV.
The issue is that the documents I am reading are not in English. Is there an easy way to change the language setting when I have the correct language packs?

Not right now, but it is on our TODO list.
In one of the next releases, we aim to offer RapidOCR as an alternative to Tesseract plus the ability to specify the expected / supported languages to detect for both engines.

Language specification in Tesseract is easy and intuitive.
RapidOCR has no comparable elegance here, so we probably leave it to the user to name the models (onnx-files) directly and map the file name to the language it supports.
