  • Introduces a robust, cross-platform PortManager and improves worker startup/termination and pure-Python worker orchestration in os_utils.py.
  • Adds file-locking reservation for ports, stale-lock cleanup, and a reserved_port context manager.
  • Speeds ppw_function worker deployment using ThreadPoolExecutor and improves graceful shutdown handling.
