compact format currency

Hi everyone,

I noticed Babel provides format_currency() and format_compact_decimal(), but I couldn't find a format_compact_currency() equivalent.

Is there already a way to produce locale-aware compact currency formatting that I've missed, or has support for this feature been discussed before?

If it's not currently supported and would be a welcome addition, I'd be interested in investigating and contributing an implementation.
