Most likely that arch supplies the latest version of many libraries. better to ask the arch packagers directly their logic. |

I know there's problems attached to it (dont know if theyve been fixed or mitigated? I know simple pread was implemented a while ago) and even for me there seemed to be more issues with an HDD (on the appimage version when torrenting, write or read speeds would spike to 100% for small durations of time but it wouldnt hang qBit or other apps, but on the Arch version with libtorrent 2 it would hang qBit and sometimes cause issues with other apps, might just have to test more though)
curious because the appimage version uses libtorrent 1.2, so what would be the reason for the Arch version to use 2.0? Is it just impossible because of the arch repos supplying the latest version of libtorrent?
