thats strang, working for me with the same setup. Which type of disk you are using?

share your config/imageup.php if you have made any change in it. also dont forgot to run php artisan storage:link if you are using public disk. which version of qcod/laravel-imageup you are using?

I am using the public disk linked to public storage path.

That's the issue, run composer update to update version 1.0.2 it was fixed in that

I installed the package 3 hours ago. Why this is installed with the lower version.

I am using "Laravel 5.7 " and "imageup" package not updating with composer update.

Try manually specifying version in composer.json and delete the compose.lock before running composer update

I am checking why it's not picking latest release. Close the issue if updating fixes it.

I updated composer after deleted composer.lock file, but the package not updating. Trying to manually specify the package with the latest version to update it.

Updated the composer with manually specify the package version to "1.0.2" but the issue still not resolved.

I hope you have figured it out, I tested it with a brand new laravel 5.7 app, it's working smoothly and composer did picked the latest version 1.0.2.

I had to change app url in env to following since I was making using php artisan serve to view the app.

APP_URL=http://localhost:8000

You probably already tested but you have to confirm that an image is getting uploaded into storage/app/public/posts/cover if it does not, then check your storage directory permission and your php upload settings etc, check for log is there any error is logged there.
