QElectroTech can already run a JavaScript script on the open project
(Projet > Exécuter un script…). It asks for the file every time, though,
and a script can't be put on a button. The pull requests below add four
things.
1. Script buttons. Save a script in a scripts folder, next to your
own element collection, and it becomes a button with an icon. The button
shows up in Projet > Scripts, on a Scripts toolbar, in command search and in
the shortcut bar. The first lines of the file say what the button looks like:
One click is one undo step. Scripting stays off by default, as it is today.
2. A manager. Projet > Scripts > Gérer les scripts… lets you write, try,
give an icon to and delete scripts without using a text editor.
3. AI assistants, through the qet MCP server. The assistant reads the
list of calls, tries a script on a copy of a project, and stores it as a
button. It never presses the button: you do.
4. Live mode, off by default. An assistant acts on the project you have
open while you watch.
With the setting on, every start shows a warning first.
A script the assistant writes on the spot is shown to you before it runs.
Every action is one undo step and is listed in an Assistant panel.
An Arrêter button closes the connection.
5. A macro recorder. Projet > Scripts > Enregistrer une macro records
something you do by hand. When you stop, Copier la demande pour
l'assistant copies a request to paste into the assistant's chat. The
assistant reads the recording, writes a general script, checks that it
gives the same result as you did, and offers it as a button. PRs: #1227
(stacked on #1223) and #1228 (stacked on #1225).
These five are stacked in that order. The MCP side is #1224 (script tools) and #1225 (live tools).
Two questions. The PRs follow the answer in brackets unless someone
objects:
Should scripts live only in your own folder, not inside .qet projects?
A project received by email would otherwise carry code behind a button. (Only your own folder.)
