In the 20 years I’ve been using a PC, I think I’ve used this function exactly once—when I added a "forward to recipient group" button to the toolbar. |

Today the toolbars in QElectroTech are fixed: you can show or hide a whole toolbar, but you can't add the commands you use most or remove the ones you never use. Mouse gestures (right-drag) always show the same commands as the shortcut bar (
S), so you can't choose one set for each. Some menu commands can't be given a keyboard shortcut at all, because they are missing from the Shortcuts page. SolidWorks, and FreeCAD in the same way, put all of this in one Tools → Customize window. I'd like to do the same for QElectroTech. The shortcut bar, mouse gestures, command search and the Shortcuts page already exist (from #1033 and #587). This proposal is about letting you set them up, not about adding new ways to run commands.
Proposed, each as its own pull request:
Nothing changes for anyone who never opens these settings. Nothing is saved in project files; all of it is a per-user setting. Renaming menu items is not included, because a renamed item stops following the language setting and no longer matches the wiki.
