Name the interface in English on the English pages
English is QElectroTech's source language since PR #1390 (merged
2026-10-08), so the English interface shows English labels. Menu,
dialog and button names on the English pages were French with an English
gloss; they now use the exact English labels from the program
(lang/qet_fr.ts read backwards), and the glosses are dropped.
The Configuration menu is Settings in English, and the keyboard_control
mnemonics follow the English labels (Display Alt+A, Settings Alt+S,
Help Alt+H). Screenshot captions still describe the French captures
they show. The -FR and -DE pages are unchanged.
Grouping, templates, collections, pictures, mouse modifiers: match current master (Edit submenus, double-click placing, template at cursor, merged group features)
Call a folio a sheet, as the English interface now does (PR #1216)
Prose only: page URLs (folio_links, navigating_folios), image names, code,
XML tag and variable names, and French menu names are unchanged. Readers
arriving from older forum posts are told a sheet used to be called a folio.

Arc tool: PR #1202 merged, drop its pending notices
Add 'Arcs and curved wires' (Arc tool, PR #1202); drop the merged #1200 notice
New page drawing_arcs, linked from the sidebar, mouse modifiers, the
shapes file format, keyboard control and drawing faster. Every mention
of the Arc tool carries a pending notice for PR #1202. The wire-hops
notice on conductors comes out: PR #1200 merged today.
Navigation: zoom and pan reference, Centre on cursor (pending #1190); drop merged #1159/#1161 notices
Corrects the zoom/pan text in user_manual, tips_and_tricks and mouse_modifiers
against the source: the plain wheel zooms, Ctrl+wheel scrolls, Space rotates
rather than pans, the bare +/- keys do nothing, and the menu path is
Affichage > Zoom adapté.
aligning_items: Align left/centre/right/top/middle/bottom (pending #1087); drop merged notices for #1074, #1078, #1079, #1084
Bring the wiki up to date with features merged since 19 September
Stale notices: drop #1073's pending markers (merged), and the #927 and
#929 "until it merges" notes (both merged a week ago).
New pages: "3D mouse" (#1022-#1035) and "Pictures on a folio" (label
from #1068, save cache from #1067, and the existing crop, transparency,
mirror and handle features, none of which were documented).
Updated: text grid for dragged texts (#1040) in mouse_modifiers,
grid_and_element_size and preferences; conductor colour toolbar button
(#929, #1005) in conductors; full contact comb option (#1010) and the
correct meaning of terminalCount in element_linking; three new tables,
drawing_item_view, item uuids (#1065) and read-only queries (#1066) in
project_database and the XML reference pages; folio background colour
remembered between runs (#1011); element information suggestions (#1021).

Aligning items, grouping items, DXF command line and layers (PRs #1073, #1074, #1078, #1079, pending)
New pages aligning_items (snap to grid) and grouping_items; dxf gains
--export-dxf and the layer table with a rendered example; cli_reference
and scripting list --export-dxf / exportDxf(). Each section carries a
pending notice naming its PR. Sidebar and see-also links added.

Add a Mouse modifiers page
Holding Shift, Ctrl or Alt while dragging changes what the drag does, in
about twenty different ways, and almost none of it is discoverable. Two
appear in the status bar once a drag is already under way; the rest are
written down nowhere. keyboard_control covers the opposite problem --
working without a mouse -- so none of this was on the wiki.
Compiled by reading every Shift/Ctrl/Alt site in the source, 66 of them,
rather than from the ones I happened to know:
- Ctrl means "ignore the grid" everywhere, because the check lives inside
Diagram::snapToGrid() itself rather than at each call site, and it
rounds to the nearest pixel rather than freeing the position entirely.
- Shift on an element's own text moves the label instead of the element.
- Shift/Ctrl/Ctrl+Shift while drawing a rectangle or ellipse give square,
from-centre, and centred-square; centre-anchoring is decided at the
first click and deliberately not re-checked mid-drag.
- Alt on a shape's corner handle converts it to a polygon; Alt on a path
node or curve handle changes the node kind.
- Shift snaps rotation, skew and arc angles to 15 degrees.
- Alt+arrows nudge by the fine grid, Ctrl+arrows realign a text group.
- Ctrl+Shift is reserved by DiagramView for its own mode switch, so it is
not available as a modifier combination.
Two behaviours are called out as changing, with the open PR named rather
than described as working: element text not snapping (#927) and the text
tool having no cancel (#928).
Linked from _Sidebar.md and cross-linked with keyboard_control both ways.
