Recap:

This call covered three topics:

1. Phillip Kruger presented work on automatic JavaScript client generation from Quarkus REST, GraphQL, and JSON RPC annotations, bypassing OpenAPI in favor of build-time metadata. JSON-RPC support has been merged; REST and GraphQL are in draft PRs. The Web Bundler integration is underway, and the approach also promises to reduce boilerplate for AI code agents.
2. A related discussion on Web Bundler versioning concluded that new extensions should target the most recent Quarkus LTS release (currently 3.33) rather than older ones.
3. Finally, Andrea Peruffo demoed a Java–Python interoperability project using Panama (FFM, Java 25) to dynamically link with standard CPython, avoiding the compatibility pitfalls of Python reimplementations. The demo showed LangChain4j calling spaCy with bidirectional Java↔Python callbacks. The project is in its early stages, with GIL and threading work ongoing.
