Home Assistant MCP server for Claude and Codex. Full REST and WebSocket control surface: states, services, history, templates, and area awareness.

One-click install (Claude Desktop)

1. Download ha-mcp.mcpb below.
2. In Claude Desktop: Settings > Extensions > Install Extension (or drag the file into the window).
3. Enter your Home Assistant URL and a long-lived access token when prompted. The token is stored in your OS keychain.

Requires a running Home Assistant instance. For Claude Code and Codex CLI setup, see the README.
