Determines the form factor, or average roundness of a set of red blood cells from a stained RBC smear.
Script also counts RBC in the cropped image.
A high average form factor signifies that most of the cells are circlular indicating healthy RBC. A low value signifies irregular and pathological blood cells.
The examples here contain both healthy RBC and sickle cell RBC
