Spot instance pre-emption question

Hi guys, I hope this is the correct category for my question, I didn't find this information in the docs.

Does the pre-emption alert can be triggered at any moment? I mean, if I buy a spot instance, can I get an alert after 15min of the VM created or can I use the VM at least for 1 hour?

Pre-emption can happen at any time, but it's also a function of where your bid price is. When pre-emption happens, it happens at the "edge" of the market; i.e. the lowest bid that is close to the market price will get pre-empted before any higher bids. Note that all winning bids pay the same price - which si the price of the auction cut-off.
