Running a webserver in another window, cannot quit

I ran npm run dev in another shell window in a worktree to test something and I cannot kill the server with Ctrl + C.

It only outputs

^[[3;5u

Ctrl + C even in a terminal without this doesn't do anything. It's easier to reproduce. Type on a line something in your terminal and press Ctrl+C to abort that and start a blank line. It isn't registering.
