sudo apt install build-essential libc6-dev

Thanks for reporting this! The stdio.h: No such file or directory error happens when the build toolchain is not installed on the board. Installing build-essential and libc6-dev (as you found) is the correct fix.

We have added this prerequisite to the docs page (both EN/ZH) so future users won't hit this:

• PR: docs(cubie vpm_run): add build-essential prerequisite for stdio.h compile error #1996
