Highlights

  • 2,553 new Unicode codepoints across 33 blocks: fullwidth ASCII, IPA, Greek Extended, Kangxi Radicals, CJK Compatibility Ideographs, and 14 new living scripts (Sundanese, Tai Tham, Cham, Batak, Buginese, Tagalog, Hanunoo, Buhid, Tagbanwa, Meetei Mayek, Tifinagh, Lisu, Ol Chiki, Bamum)
  • Callable module: import translit; translit("Москва", lang="auto") → Moskva
  • Finnish transliteration fixed: ä→a, ö→o (not ae/oe as in Swedish)
  • Icelandic transliteration fixed: ð→d (ICAO standard, not dh)
  • errors="preserve" fix: visible characters with empty-string mappings are now preserved instead of silently dropped
