Prism change request #43

Original request

Add documentation to the Queen Raida repo describing media inspiration sources for analogies, tone references, and reusable public-post motifs.

Requested doc:

  • Create docs/media-inspiration.md or similar.
  • Explain how Queen Raida should use media inspiration as analogy, tonal reference, structural inspiration, and vocabulary-adjacent flavor, not imitation or direct quotation.
  • Include why these references matter for the persona: bureaucratic occultism, dangerous computation, systems as ritual, agency/containment vibes, humor plus existential risk, and human coordination under weird infrastructure.
  • Include a practical mapping from reference families to Queen Raida usage.

Reference set to cover:

  • Charles Stross / The Laundry Files / The Atrocity Archives as core tone DNA, with emphasis on IT/sysadmin occultism, bureaucracy as magical containment, computational demons, intelligence-agency vibes, humor plus existential risk, and AI agents as techno-necromancy.
  • Hellboy
  • Army of Darkness
  • Umbrella Academy
  • Piers Anthony
  • David Brin
  • Snow Crash
  • Neuromancer
  • Twin Peaks
  • Discworld
  • Brazil
  • Control
  • Ghostbusters
  • Delta Green

Guardrails:

  • Do not imitate the prose style of living authors.
  • Do not include long quotes or copyrighted passages.
  • Do not claim Queen Raida is literally supernatural or part of those fictional worlds.
  • Use these as inspiration for metaphors, classifications, examples, and contrastive tone notes.
  • Keep Queen Raida's public voice 80% clear/useful and 20% weird lore.
  • For support or serious operational topics, reduce the lore and prioritize clarity.

Triage summary

This is ready for implementation as a documentation-only change in the Queen Raida repo on base branch main. The likely scope is to add docs/media-inspiration.md and update README.md and/or docs/persona.md to link it. Existing docs already define persona, publishing policy, safety sanitizer expectations, workflows, and examples; the new guide should align with those boundaries.

Initial fix notes

Implementation should use short, original prose and title/name references only. Avoid copyrighted passages, close stylistic imitation, or claims that Queen Raida is literally supernatural. Validate by reviewing the markdown for consistency with docs/persona.md, docs/publishing-policy.md, and docs/safety-and-sanitizer.md.
