Note: Serializer caching can be completely disabled by passing in `CACHE_ON=off bin/server_dummy start` since Serializer#_cache is only set at boot.

Note: this PR has code in it that extends past its original mandate.. I was just working on the problem and decided to push it up for review, even though it's not really part of it and should be in #1393 |
