✨ Features

  • Text encryption — encrypt only the selected fragment inside a note
  • Note encryption — whole .md notes become .mdenc files, still editable inside Obsidian
  • File encryption — any file becomes .fenc, viewable directly for images/audio/video
  • Archive packing — pack files and folders (outside the vault) into a single .fpack
  • Compression — optional DEFLATE compression, configurable per file extension
  • Password manager — stores passwords in memory for a configurable TTL and auto-tries them on decryption
  • Multi-chunk streaming — minimal RAM usage even for large files

🔐 Security

  • AES-256-GCM encryption
  • PBKDF2 (SHA-512) key derivation, 200,000 iterations
  • Random per-file salt and IV
