OpTrove is a source of optimization software, problems and tools that are available from members of the Computational Mathematics Group at the STFC-Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, and their collaborators. To date this includes -

  • GALAHAD, a library of modern Fortran modules for nonlinear optimization.

  • CUTEst, the Constrained and Unconstrained Testing Environment with safe threads (CUTEst) for optimization software.

  • SIFDecode, a package to decode SIF optimization test examples for use by CUTEst and GALAHAD.

  • ARCHDefs, a collection of system and compiler default values for OpTrove software.

  • RALFit, a nonlinear least-squares solver.

  • SIF, a collection of nonlinear optimization problems in Standard Input Format (SIF).

  • QPLIB, a library of quadratic programming instances arising in many application areas.

We also maintain

  • MJDP_software, an archive of optimization software by the late Professor Michael Powell from the University of Cambridge.

  • Maros-Meszaros, a set of quadratic programming examples by Istvan Maros and Csaba Meszaros in Standard Input Format (SIF).
