This patch fixes a memory leak already fixed in upstream drivers (see f931782 for the fix and 0a48127 for the merge).

Same patch as for rpi-4.2.y branch, but for longterm maintenance kernel 3.18.y.

The patch looks OK to me.

4.2 isn't really in use yet - it's only just gone to rc2, and there are probably patches missing. 4.0 is the current kernel for the majority of users, while 4.1 is more experimental - are you going to submit patches for them?

OK, I'll submit on rpi-4.0.y and rpi-4.1.y as well.

3.18 tree is no longer being maintained by us. 4.0 tree is the current stable release, and that includes this patch.

Change the memcpy length to fix the out-of-bounds issue when writing the
data that is not 4 byte aligned to TX FIFO.

To reproduce the issue, write 3 bytes data to NOR chip.
