Before using Altera, you'll need:
- β A Web3 wallet (MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, WalletConnect, etc.)
- β Sepolia testnet ETH for gas fees (free from faucets)
- β Base mainnet ETH for Genesis NFT minting (if desired)
- Click "Connect Wallet" in the top navigation
- Select your preferred wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect, etc.)
- Approve the connection request in your wallet
- You're now connected to Altera!
- Navigate to the Faucet page
- Click "Claim dETH" or "Claim dUSDC"
- Confirm the transaction in your wallet
- Tokens will appear in your wallet within seconds
π‘ Note: There's a 24-hour cooldown between faucet claims for each token.
- Swap tokens β Go to Swap page
- Provide liquidity β Go to Liquidity page
- Stake and earn β Go to Staking page
- View portfolio β Go to Dashboard

How to Swap:
- Go to the Swap page
- Select the token you want to swap from
- Enter the amount you want to trade
- Review the output amount and rate

Provide liquidity to the dETH/dUSDC pool and earn a share of trading fees.
How It Works:
When you provide liquidity, you deposit both dETH and dUSDC into the pool. In return, you receive an LP position (tracked as a Uniswap V3 NFT) that represents your share of the pool. You earn 0.3% of all trades proportional to your pool share.
How to Add Liquidity:
- Go to the Liquidity page
- Enter the amount of dETH you want to provide
- The required dUSDC amount is calculated automatically
- Click "Approve dETH" and "Approve dUSDC" (first time only)
- Click "Add Liquidity" and confirm in your wallet
- Your LP position appears in "Your Positions"
How to Remove Liquidity:
- Find your position in "Your Positions"
- Click "Close Position"
- Confirm the transaction
- Receive your tokens plus earned fees
- Understand impermanent loss before providing liquidity
- LP positions are tracked via Uniswap V3 NFTs
- Fees are collected automatically when you close your position
Stake your tokens to earn CORE rewards over time.

How do I get testnet tokens?
Use our built-in Faucet page to claim free dETH and dUSDC. For Sepolia ETH (gas), use sepoliafaucet.com or Alchemy Sepolia Faucet.
Can I use Altera on mobile?
Yes! Use a mobile Web3 browser like MetaMask Mobile or Coinbase Wallet. Simply navigate to the Altera website within the wallet's browser.
What happens if I lose my wallet?
We cannot recover your funds. If you have your seed phrase backed up, you can restore your wallet. If not, your funds are permanently lost. Always backup your seed phrase securely!
How do I see my Genesis Pass NFT?
- In MetaMask: Go to the NFTs tab (ensure you're on Base network)
- On OpenSea: Search for your wallet address on OpenSea Base
- On BaseScan: View the token contract

Are there any platform fees?
Currently, there are no platform fees beyond network gas fees. This may change in the future with advance notice.

Why is my transaction failing?
Common reasons include:
- Insufficient gas (get more Sepolia ETH)
- Token not approved (click Approve before the action)
- Insufficient balance
- Network congestion (try again later)
