agent-branch-start now hydrates scripts/codex-agent.sh into freshly created worktrees whenever the helper is missing there, using the repo copy or template fallback. This prevents follow-up auto-finish flows from failing due to absent local launcher scripts in new sandboxes. Constraint: New agent worktrees may start without all helper scripts present Rejected: Require manual rerun of gx setup in each worktree | adds friction and leaves automation brittle Confidence: high Scope-risk: narrow Reversibility: clean Directive: Keep hydration logic mirrored between live script and template script Tested: npm test
